Stormont-Vail HealthCare Adds Eleventh Adult Hospitalist for Inpatient Care
(Topeka, Kan., Sept. 17, 2007) -- Stormont-Vail HealthCare, is proud to announce the addition of John B. Chamberlin, M.D., as the newest physician to join the Stormont-Vail Hospitalist Program. He joins fellow hospitalists Drs. Tewodros Addisse, Gregory Chediak, Kevin D. Dishman, Sowjanya Duthuluru, Keith E. Kentch, Jed W. McKee, Frisco R. Morse, Steven D. Rankin, Kevin R. Sundbye and Auriel A. Tan.
Dr. Chamberlin received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Rockford, Ill., in 1983. He completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Affiliated Hospitals, Kansas City, Mo., in 1986. He is board certified in internal medicine. Most recently Dr. Chamberlin practiced as a hospitalist through Midwest Hospital Specialists.
As a hospitalist, Dr. Chamberlin dedicates 100 percent of his time specializing in inpatient care.
A hospitalist cares for the patient for his or her entire hospital stay. After the patient is discharged, the hospitalist returns the patient’s care back to his or her primary care physician. This unique program allows the primary care physician to remain in the clinic providing uninterrupted patient care while the inpatient receives round-the-clock care from a physician specially trained to care for patients within the hospital.
Dr. Chamberlin is now caring for patients at Stormont-Vail HealthCare. For more information about the Stormont-Vail Hospitalist Program, call (785) 354-5242.
