Additional Emergency Physician Joins Cotton-O'Neil Clinic Medical Staff

(Topeka, Kan., Aug. 22, 2008) – Stormont-Vail HealthCare proudly welcomes Thomas Heidewald, M.D., to the Cotton-O’Neil medical staff. Dr. Heidewald is now the 13th emergency medicine physician available to care for patients in the Emergency Department at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center.

Dr. Heidewald received his medical degree at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, in 1986, followed by an Internal Medicine internship at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, in 1987. He also completed a Joint Military Medical Command Program at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas, in 1993.

Dr. Heidewald is board certified in Emergency Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and a member of the Society of Army Flight Surgeons.

Dr. Heidewald has been in practice since 1999 as an emergency physician and co-medical director at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina.
