Pulmonary Disease Specialist Joins Cotton-O'Neil Clinic
(Topeka, Kan., April 28, 2007) Stormont-Vail HealthCare proudly welcomes Osman Malik, M.D., to Cotton-O'Neil Clinic. Dr. Malik joins fellow pulmonary disease physicians, Shawn Magee, M.D. and Theo Ogungbamigbe, M.D. at their medical office located at 823 S.W. Mulvane in Topeka.
Dr. Malik received his medical degree from Aga Khan University, Karachi, Pakistan, in 1996. He completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center, Memphis, Tenn., in 2001. Dr. Malik went on to complete a combined fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, in 2004.
Dr. Malik is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, critical care and sleep medicine. He has special interests in critical care medicine; sleep disorders and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), as well as other complex pulmonary diseases. Dr. Malik will assume the role of medical director of the intensive care unit at Stormont-Vail HealthCare and will care for hospitalized patients with acute or chronic pulmonary illnesses in addition to his outpatient practice.
