Pulmonary Disease Specialist Joins Cotton-O’Neil Clinic

(Topeka, Kan., August 22, 2007) -- Stormont-Vail HealthCare welcomes Theo Ogungbamigbe, M.D., a pulmonary disease specialist, to Cotton-O’Neil Clinic. Dr. Ogungbamigbe joins Shawn Magee, M.D. in the pulmonary medical offices located at 823 S.W. Mulvane in Topeka.

Dr. Ogungbamigbe received a combined medical and surgical degree from Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria, in 1986. He relocated to the U.S. in 2000 where he completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Interfaith Medical Center, Brooklyn, N.Y. in 2003. He went on to complete a fellowship in pulmonary medicine at Interfaith Medical Center, Brooklyn, N.Y., in 2006, followed by a fellowship in critical care medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, N.Y, in 2007.

Dr. Ogungbamigbe is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary medicine. He specializes in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), including emphysema and chronic bronchitis, and critical care medicine for acute or chronic pulmonary illness.
