Stormont-Vail Hospitalist Program Continues to Grow
Richard Phillips, M.D. joins Stormont-Vail Medical Staff
(Topeka, Kan., Nov. 10, 2010) - The physicians and staff of the Stormont-Vail Hospitalist Program proudly welcome Richard Phillips, M.D., to the team of specialists who care for adult hospitalized patients.
Dr. Phillips, a native of Wamego, Kan., obtained his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Kansas City, in 2007. He later completed a residency in internal medicine at Wake Forest University College of Medicine and North Carolina Baptist Hospital, Winston-Salem, N.C., in 2010. He also worked as a clinical pharmacist, while completing his medical degree, and was recognized for several academic achievements, including: Rho Chi Pharmaceutical Honor Society, Golden Key Honor Society, National Dean's List, and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. He was also a recipient of a University of Kansas endowment scholarship.
