Howard Rodenberg, M.D., MPH, Joins Emergency Medicine Physician Group at Stormont-Vail HealthCare
(Topeka, Kan., Dec. 9, 2011) – Stormont-Vail HealthCare/Cotton-O'Neil Clinic announces the addition of Howard Rodenberg, M.D., to the emergency medicine team of specialists. Dr. Rodenberg is most recently affiliated with Hays Medical Center, in Hays, where he worked under contract as an emergency medicine physician.
Dr. Rodenberg received his medical degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, Kansas City, in 1986. He completed a residency in emergency medicine at Truman Medical Center/University of Missouri-Kansas City, Kansas City, Mo., in 1989. He is board certified in emergency medicine and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Rodenberg was previously affiliated with the Halifax Emergency Physicians and Emergency Resources Group, in Daytona Beach, Fla., from 1996 to 2003 and from 2008 to 2010. He served as director, Volusia County Health Department, Daytona Beach, Fla., beginning in 2003. He served two years as the director, Division of Health, Kansas Department of Health and Environment, Topeka, beginning in 2005.
He pursued additional post-graduate degrees, which include, a diploma in Health Emergencies in Large Populations, International Committee of the Red Cross and the University of Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland, in 1995; a diploma in Financial Management, Damelin Management School, Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1996; and a master's degree in Public Health, Executive Program, University of South Florida, Tampa, in 2001.
Dr. Rodenberg began caring for acute patients in the Emergency Department at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center on Dec. 7.
