Cotton-O-Neil Clinic – Wamego Welcomes Cassie Scripter, M.D. to Clinic

(Topeka, Kan., Aug. 18, 2011) -- Stormont-Vail HealthCare and Cotton-O'Neil Clinic proudly announce the addition of Cassie Scripter, M.D., to the family medicine group of physicians in practice at Cotton-O-Neil Clinic, 1704 Commercial Circle, in Wamego. Dr. Scripter is currently accepting new patients.

Dr. Scripter, a native of Alma, Kan., received her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Wichita, Kan., in 2008. She completed a residency in family medicine at Smoky Hill Family Medicine Residency Program, Salina, Kan., in 2011. As a family medicine physician, Dr. Scripter specializes in comprehensive medical care for patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric.

Dr. Scripter is a member of the Kansas Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians. In 2007, she was nominated into the Gold Humanism Honor Society while studying medicine at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. The Gold Humanism Honor Society is a recognition society that allows patients to nominate physicians who demonstrate exemplary sensitivity and compassion, as well as clinical excellence, in the care of patients and their families. In 2008, she received the George E. "Ned" Burket, M.D. Award for excellence as a senior medical student in Family Medicine.
