Cotton-O'Neil Clinic General Surgeons Receive Designation as Fellows of the American College of Surgeons

(Topeka, Kan., Dec. 30, 2010) - William Sachs, M.D. and Bradley Woods, M.D. have recently achieved status as Fellows of the American College of Surgeons. Members of the American College of Surgeons have superior education and training, professional qualifications, surgical competence, ethical conduct, and have passed a rigorous evaluation stipulated by the American College of Surgeons.

William Sachs, M.D., FACS
Dr. Sachs received his medical degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City, Kansas City, Mo., in 1997. He completed an internship and residency in general surgery at the University of Oklahoma Department of Surgery, Oklahoma City, Okla., in 2003. Dr. Sachs is board certified in general surgery. He specializes in general surgery and trauma and critical care surgery and has been affiliated with Stormont-Vail HealthCare and Cotton-O'Neil Clinic since 2003.

Bradley Woods, M.D., FACS
Dr. Woods joined Cotton-O'Neil Clinic in September 2008. He is a 1991 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. He served in the U.S. Army from 1992 to 1994 in Bamberg, Germany.

Upon his return from military duty, Dr. Woods attended medical school and received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas, in 1998. He then completed a surgery internship followed by a general surgery residency at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, in 2003. He is board certified in general surgery. He specializes in general surgery, and trauma and critical care surgery.
