Kansas Dialysis Services
Kansas Dialysis Services (KDS) has served northeast Kansas with quality kidney dialysis for more than 20 years. The KDS staff provides hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, home dialysis training, hospital inpatient dialysis, transplant evaluation and community education. KDS is located at 634 S.W. Mulvane, Suite 300, Mulvane Medical Plaza building. Satellite clinics are located in Lawrence, Manhattan, Ottawa and Sabetha.
All KDS clinics received a 2008 “Facility Scorecard” from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) via the Heartland Kidney Network with quality results from the previous four-year time period. The report showed that every KDS unit’s mortality and hospitalization rate is better than state, regional and national averages, respectively. The Topeka unit, with both an in-center and home dialysis program, is the largest facility KDS operates and that unit scored with a mortality rate as “Significantly Better Than Expected,” which is a rating few dialysis units in the country are able to achieve.
The medical directors of KDS with Cotton-O’Neil Clinic are: Robert Porter, MD, FACP, Scott Solcher, MD, FACP, Lakshmi Duvvur, MD, and Keelyn Ericson, MD.
