Critical Care

The patient-focused Critical Care Department is unique in the region with its specialized features to enhance patient care. Everything is centralized around the patient without equipment obstruction. The design allows nurses to more efficiently take care of patients.

Another unique aspect of the department is that there is no central nursing station. Instead, smaller stations are right outside patients’ rooms. With this design, nurses can monitor patients’ rooms at all times.

In addition to the state-of-the-art medical equipment and cutting-edge design, Stormont-Vail’s Critical Care Department has two other important elements for recovery: sunshine and windows at the end of each hallway. The family waiting area offers a home-like atmosphere and includes kitchen facilities for families’ convenience.
