When I began working at Stormont Vail Health, I never in my wildest dreams could have imagined all the wonderful things working here would do for me. It is here that I have met some of the greatest people and have made some of my fondest memories. Working here is like being a part of one big family. Some of my very best friends work within the walls of Stormont Vail, and we genuinely have fun taking care of our patients and each other. There have been good times, bad times, and even a few disagreements along the way, but we always pull together to get the job done. No matter what. It is rare to find co-workers who genuinely care about you and push you to become a better person each day. During these times I feel our team members and leaders have done amazing work to keep our family going. I pray in a few months we will look back on these times and see how they made us stronger. Team members are learning new skills so we can care for all the patients who need our help. Programs and initiatives that usually take months to roll out are being implemented in weeks by our leaders and their teams. We have increased our capacity to care for the critically ill, structurally and intellectually. Many have sacrificed time with loved ones and their incomes to ensure we will all have a place to come back to when this is over. When we get through this, and we will get through this, there will be nothing that we cannot do together.
