COVID-19 Convalescent Plasma Treatments: Stormont Vail Health is registered in the U.S. Mayo Clinic-lead protocol: Expanded Access Program for Convalescent Plasma. Four patients have been registered at Stormont Vail Health as of April 15, 2020. As a participating organization, we are committed to supporting processes to refer local patients to become plasma donors. To date, our plasma has been acquired via the New York Blood Center Enterprises. Once there is a supply in Kansas, we will be able to acquire convalescent plasma transfusions more quickly through the Community Blood Center of Kansas. For more information, visit:
https://www.uscovidplasma.org/.

COVID-19 Convalescent Plasma Donors: Potentially eligible donors must meet the customary eligibility criteria for blood donation, although the criteria have been slightly widened due to COVID-19. People who have previously tested positive must be 14 days post symptom. To donate, people register at the New York Blood Center Enterprises website; they are coordinating the national effort. People in the Topeka area will have to donate plasma at the Community Blood Center of Kansas City, 4040 Main St., Kansas City, MO, 64111 (877-468-6844).
