Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Group

Grief causes a wound that needs attention in order to heal. It takes courage to feel the pain and to face the unfamiliar. The Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support Group is here to provide information and support to women and couples grieving the loss of their baby or babies through miscarriage, stillbirth, infant death, or infertility.

We recognize that everyone’s journey is different. Some come to the group and listen but never talk, while others are very expressive. We laugh, cry, share, and express many wonderful and difficult parts about our pregnancies and our babies. We also understand that groups are not for everyone and have an online private support group for those who prefer that method.

We have guest speakers, educational sessions, and art activities to enhance our growth and movement through the grief process. The topics and activities are geared to meet the needs of the group at the time. We also maintain a library of support materials available for checkout.

In addition, the group provides input to continuing education programs for health care professionals on how to be more sensitive to our needs.

Meeting times:

At this time, the group will not be meeting in-person due to importance of social distancing. As soon as we are able, we will return to our normal first and third Thursday groups from 6 to 8p.m.
