Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery

The highly trained specialty physicians at Cotton-O'Neil Clinic–Dermatology provide the complete diagnosis and management of skin disorders, including melanoma and/or skin cancer.

A full range of dermatology services including photo treatment services like the Narrow Band UVB and PUVA, which is a light treatment for psoriasis or eczema. This is a safe and effective treatment that is also reimbursed by most health insurance.

Dr. Matthew Ricks, dermatologic surgeon, is the only fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon in the state of Kansas, with exception to the Kansas City metro area. Mohs micrographic surgery is a highly specialized surgical treatment for the removal of skin cancer. It is considered to offer the highest cure rate for basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas. It is the treatment of choice for recurrent skin cancers because it offers a 98 percent cure rate and involves a minimal amount of tissue loss.

The physicians accept patients by physician referral. It is recommended that you speak with your primary care physician to determine if a referral to would improve your condition.
