This program is a coordinated effort between multiple internal departments at Stormont Vail Hospital, and city and county emergency services to ensure a rapid response for the delivery of care to critically injured patients.
Stormont Vail Health received verification as a Level III Trauma Center from the American College of Surgeons on August 31, 2006. That verification was elevated to a Level II center in 2009. Requirements for verification are rigorous and demanding. www.facs.org/trauma/verified.html
