Financial Arrangements

For generations, Stormont-Vail has provided its patients the highest quality of health care services. At Stormont-Vail every person receiving care is accorded the same rights and is treated with the same high level of dignity and respect regardless of ability to pay.  We understand hospital services can create financial concerns for you. We are prepared to help you by discussing your payment options for hospital services not covered by insurance (such as deductibles, co-payments or non-covered services). These amounts may be paid when you are dismissed from Stormont-Vail.  If payment is not possible upon dismissal, payment in full is expected within 30 days after you receive your statement from us. You have the following payment options when paying your bill:  

  • Cash   
  • Check or Money Order   
  • Debit Card   
  • Credit Card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover)  
  • Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) from your bank

If you are not able to pay in full within 30 days of receiving your statement, please call one of our Customer Service Representatives at (785) 354-6130 to discuss your payment options. You may be able to qualify for our bank loan program offered through a local bank.  For patients expressing an inability to pay, it is very important that you call one of our Customer Service Representatives as soon as possible so we can start the review of your financial situation. Depending on your financial situation, you may qualify for Medicaid eligibility or our financial assistance program.
