About Stormont Vail Health Auxiliary
The Stormont Vail Health Auxiliary began its long tradition of service in 1949 and remains an essential part of the health care organization. The Auxiliary supports Stormont Vail Health through volunteer services, financial contributions and promotion of goodwill.
Our financial contributions have included support for the building of vital areas of Stormont Vail Hospital. These include the Surgery Center, Neonatal Intensive Care, Cancer Center and the Emergency & Trauma Center. In addition, we also provide money to help fund ongoing projects such as nursing education, new equipment purchases, patient amenities and gifts for new mothers.
About Volunteer Services at Stormont Vail Health
Volunteers at Stormont Vail Health perform a vital function for our organization. They provide time and services for the clinical and hospital teams, allowing those team members to focus on their jobs.
Volunteers serve as a welcoming smile for visitors, patients and team members, while also performing critical functions such as providing directions, looking up information, assisting patients with their needs, helping restock supplies, talking with patients and visitors, and much more.
