The Stormont Vail Behavioral Health Center is staffed by highly trained and compassionate professionals to help patients and their families. Our care approach includes:
- Psychological and psychiatric evaluations
- Medication treatment
- Individual, family and group therapy
- Hospitalization, if needed
If you are using a Cotton O’Neil primary care provider (PCP), he or she will receive real-time updates on your diagnosis and treatment through your electronic medical record. PCPs outside Stormont Vail also will receive updates on your condition and treatment.
We also encourage you to keep in touch with your physician while receiving behavioral health care. Providing updates about your condition, and continuing to go in for physicals and other routine care, can help you stay healthy in the long run.

Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinic

Intensive Outpatient Program

Partial Day Hospital Program
This program is offered to adults (18 years and older) who need more intensive care than outpatient programs can provide. Child and Adolescent Inpatient Program
We’ve designed this care especially for children or teenagers (up to 17 years old) who are experiencing a psychiatric emergency. Stormont Vail Health specialists provide stabilization and individualized treatment plans. Adult Inpatient Program
Adults facing a psychiatric emergency can receive acute, short-term crisis stabilization with the Adult Inpatient Program. Limited to adult voluntary patients, the program involves individual, group, and family intervention, as well as medication.For more information, please call (785) 270-4646.

Senior Behavioral Health
This is a voluntary inpatient program for seniors (those 60 years and older) who have psychiatric emergencies. Senior patients will participate in individual and group therapies.
