Behavioral Health Center

Life with an emotional, mental, or behavioral disorder can feel like a roller coaster. You may have good days and bad days, and it can feel like a real challenge sometimes to control your thoughts or emotions.

The Stormont Vail Behavioral Health Center is staffed by highly trained and compassionate professionals to help patients and their families. Our care approach includes:

  • Psychological and psychiatric evaluations
  • Medication treatment
  • Individual, family and group therapy
  • Hospitalization, if needed

If you are using a Cotton O’Neil primary care provider (PCP), he or she will receive real-time updates on your diagnosis and treatment through your electronic medical record. PCPs outside Stormont Vail also will receive updates on your condition and treatment.

We also encourage you to keep in touch with your physician while receiving behavioral health care. Providing updates about your condition, and continuing to go in for physicals and other routine care, can help you stay healthy in the long run.

Conditions We Treat

Patients can meet with our specialists for diagnosis and treatment of conditions such as:

  • Anxiety disorders, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), phobias and obsessive-compulsive disorder
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Depression
  • Personality disorders
  • Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • Psychotic disorders, such as schizophrenia

Family and friends, if you suspect that your loved one is suffering, please contact us. Our physicians are equipped to make a diagnosis or connect you with other resources that can help you.

Meet Our Team

Everyone is unique, and our team understands how each person’s personality, health and experience can alter treatment outcomes. That’s why our professionals customize care based on each patient’s needs. We help them understand and work through the personal challenges they face.

We also care about the future of the community and focus on prevention. Our team has collaborated with local schools and provided depression screenings to students. Early detection can reduce the burden a child may carry into their future.
