Palliative Care

Providing Comfort. Symptom Management.

The measure of a life is not its length, but its fullness. Making sure your life is as full as it can be, regardless of the limitations your illness may place on it, is what the Stormont-Vail Palliative Care program is all about.

Patients with a serious or chronic condition, regardless of prognosis, can benefit from the symptom management, pain management and support services of our Palliative Care service.

At Stormont-Vail, palliative care services are provided as an inpatient service at the hospital or in an outpatient setting at the Stormont-Vail Cancer Center. Our palliative care team will help enhance the quality of life – spiritually, emotionally and physically – for those with life-limiting, chronic or debilitating illnesses and their loved ones.

More than just medication, our palliative care program offers personal consultation, specialized care in a comfortable environment, and long-term planning for you and your family.

For an inpatient Palliative Care consultation, contact Health Connections at (785) 354-5225 and ask for Palliative Care.
