The Stormont-Vail HealthCare PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program is a one-year training program offering a broad range of pharmacy practice experience. Our mission is to provide our residents with experiences that develop the knowledge, skills and values needed to support excellent pharmaceutical care for the patients they serve during their residency and throughout their careers.

Located in Topeka, Kansas, Stormont-Vail HealthCare (SVHC) has been caring for northeast Kansas for more than 125 years. SVHC is an approved ACS Level II Trauma center, Level III NICU and other Joint Commission accredited programs (Stroke, MI and Total Joint Center).
SVHC has various multidisciplinary rounds including MICU, S-MICU, PICU, NICU and psychiatry (pediatrics, adults and geriatrics). SVHC also has 24/7 ED and Trauma decentralized pharmacy coverage. SVHC is affiliated with numerous physician clinics and rural health-systems throughout northeast Kansas.

The SVHC Clinical Pharmacy team provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients through optimizing medication therapy and promotes health, wellness and disease state prevention.
SVHC Pharmacy team upholds the American College of Clinical Pharmacist philosophy of pharmaceutical care blends a caring orientation with specialized therapeutic knowledge, experience and judgment for the purpose of ensuring optimal patient outcomes. SVHC Clinical Pharmacy Team also contributes to the generation of new knowledge that advances health and quality of life.
