  • Chen Hoe Chow, M.D., Cardiologist, Joins Cotton-O’Neil Heart Center

    Cotton-O’Neil Heart Center, a division of Stormont-Vail HealthCare, announces the addition of Chen Hoe Chow, M.D., cardiologist, to the cardiology practice based in Topeka. He is currently accepting new patients at the clinic.

    Dr. Chow received his medical degree at Dalhousie University, Faculty of Medicine, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in 2005. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio, in 2008. He completed a fellowship in heart failure in 2009 and a fellowship in cardiac imaging in 2010, followed by a fellowship in general cardiology at University Hospitals Case Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio, in 2013. He has clinical interests in heart failure and echocardiography.

  • Cotton-O’Neil Clinic Recruits Additional Family Medicine Physician Ashley Hisel, D.O.

    Cotton-O’Neil Clinic, a division of Stormont-Vail HealthCare, announces the addition of Ashley Hisel, D.O., family medicine physician, to the clinic located at 823 S.W. Mulvane St. in Topeka.

    Dr. Hisel, a Topeka native, received her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, Kansas City, Mo., in 2010. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at  the Research Family Practice Residency Program.

  • Cotton-O'Neil Clinic Welcomes Additional Urologist

    Stormont-Vail HealthCare and Cotton-O'Neil Clinic announce the addition of Kristopher Carlson, M.D., to the Cotton-O'Neil Clinic -Urology medical group. He joins fellow urologists Mark Brandsted, M.D., Chu-Chi Chen, M.D., Richard Isaacson, M.D., and Kevin Nasseri, M.D., in practice at 823 S.W. Mulvane St., Suite 275, in Topeka.

    Dr. Carlson, a former resident of Topeka, received his medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Kansas City, in 2006. He then completed an internship at the Medical College of Georgia, Department of Surgery, Division of General Surgery, Augusta, Ga., followed by the completion of a residency in urology in 2011. Prior to bringing his urological skills to northeast Kansas, Dr. Carlson was in practice in Alexandria, Minn.

    His clinical interests include: adult and pediatric general urology for male and female patients with clinical interests in male infertility, vasectomy reversal, erectile dysfunction, urologic stone disease, pediatric urology, and minimally invasive treatment methods for a variety of urologic disorders.

  • Seshu Rao, M.D., Cardiologist, Joins Cotton-O’Neil Heart Center

    Cotton-O’Neil Heart Center, a division of Stormont-Vail HealthCare, announce the addition of Seshu Rao, M.D., cardiologist, to the cardiology practice based in Topeka, where he is currently accepting new patients.

    Dr. Rao received a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, Rajiv Gandhi, University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, India, in 2004. He received a Master’s of Science degree in Experimental Pathology from New York Medical College, Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, N.Y., in 2006. He completed a residency program in internal medicine at the University of Missouri Kansas City, Kansas City, Mo., in 2009. Dr. Rao then completed a fellowship in cardiology at Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute/University of Missouri, Kansas City, Mo., in 2012. He completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology at Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute, Kansas City, Mo., in 2013.

    Dr. Rao is an associate member of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions; the American Society of Echocardiography; the Heart Rhythm Society; the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology; the American Heart Association; and the American College of Physicians. He is also a member of the American Medical Association.

    Dr. Rao is board certified in internal medicine and nuclear cardiology. He has clinical interests in echocardiography, interventional cardiology and nuclear cardiology.
