Hi, I’m Dr. Lalitha Rayavarapu. I go by the name Lalitha. I work at Cotton O’Neil North Clinic.
How did you get involved in family practice?
I love working with kids. I love working with adults. So family medicine gives that beautiful mix where you can kind of interact with all age groups. And since you get to know the entire family, it’s very easy to come up with a proper plan that works for the entire family — and it’s more individualized treatment.
Why should a patient choose you as a physician?
My strengths are [that] I’m comfortable seeing all age groups. I’m comfortable with most preventive care, most medical conditions that are associated with all of these age groups. I tend to be very thorough. I tend to listen. Whether it’s a small or a big problem, if it’s important to my patient, it’s important to find the answers and help them work through that particular problem or medical condition.
Why did you choose to work at Stormont Vail-Cotton O’Neil?
Stormont Vail kind of reminds me of the community I grew up in. I grew up in the Caribbean. It’s a very small, well-knit community — and Stormont has that well-knit community. There are good specialty services, a lot of resources that are available that we can reach out to when we need to. Everybody is approachable, friendly.
