Our Future

The Auxiliary remains strong and continues to support Stormont Vail Health during times of great change in the world of health care, always keeping its Mission in mind, “Working together to improve the health of our community.”

Our Achievements

During our nearly 70-year history, we have contributed more than $2 million to the building of some of the most vital areas of Stormont Vail Hospital. These areas include the Surgery Center, Neonatal Intensive Care, Cancer Center and the Emergency & Trauma Center.

In addition to these building projects, we also provide money to help fund ongoing projects such as nursing education, helping departments purchase new equipment and patient amenities, gifts for new mothers.

Two of the ways we raise funds are through the Gift Shop, where you can find a special something to lift the spirits of someone special, and the Food Connection, which serves a wide selection of made-to-order sandwiches and burgers along with a selection of daily specials for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

How Can I Become Involved?

Auxiliary projects and activities are as diverse as the membership. Some auxilians volunteer in the health center, while some provide support through other Auxiliary activities.

What Will I Gain?

The gift of friendship with others, the reward of giving of yourself, and new experiences are valuable benefits of membership. Your gift of service means hope, compassion, and a more comfortable visit to the patients and patient families who come to Stormont Vail for health care needs.

Who Can Be a Member?

Anyone! Both men and women are encouraged to join if they express a desire and willingness to participate in Auxiliary activities and service projects, or to learn more about the health center through educational opportunities and friendship.
