Mayo Clinic Care Network

The Mayo Clinic Care Network is a select group of independent health systems carefully vetted by Mayo Clinic that are granted special access to Mayo’s knowledge, expertise, and resources. As part of the network, Stormont Vail Health doctors can quickly access Mayo’s latest research, treatment, and diagnostic resources whenever they feel it will benefit their patients.

Our collaboration with Mayo Clinic gives us the ability to work with like-minded organizations across the globe to achieve our goal of improving the outcomes and delivery of health care.

Children’s Mercy

In 2019, Stormont Vail Health affiliated with Children’s Mercy Kansas City to provide a pediatric cardiologist at the Cotton O’Neil Heart Center. This was the start of the collaboration to provide advanced pediatric services to the community.

Stormont Vail Health has spent years investing in pediatric specialty services in the area through our Pediatric Intensive Care, Neonatal Intensive Care, Pediatric Oncology, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Endocrinology and more. The collaboration of the two systems allows us to build upon those services and include on-site and telemedicine services from Children’s Mercy specialists to give patients the highest level of care, closer to home.

Children’s Mercy has been serving patients in Kansas and Missouri for more than 100 years. US News & World Report has named them one of the best children’s hospitals in America, ranking in all 10 pediatric specialties for five consecutive years.
