Most people would describe me, probably, as very driven and kind of single-focused on what I’m doing. I’m an interventional cardiologist. Basically, I’m a balloon and stent guy.
Why did you choose to work at Stormont Vail Health?
[There are] several reasons why I chose to work at Stormont. Honestly, it was a good location. … The other big thing was that it offered me an opportunity to do what I’d been trained to do. We had an opportunity to come here and actually help build a program. We knew the hospital was growing and there was the potential to actually significantly impact what was going on at the hospital and help build a program here.
What conditions do you treat?
Mostly what we treat is coronary artery disease or peripheral arterial disease — so people that have blocked arteries. The other area that we are very active in is treating people with aneurysms, and also people who have aortic stenosis or valvular heart disease.
Why should patients trust you with their care?
I think patients should trust us because, number one, we are very dedicated in what we do. And we’re committed to being at the cutting edge. And the second thing is that we try to put the patient first in everything we do.
