About
As what we call a general cardiologist, I treat people with coronary artery disease or blockages of the blood vessels. I treat people with valvular heart disease — or valve problems — as well as people with congestive heart failure, or arrhythmias. Some of the procedures which I perform include transesophageal echos, implanting pacemakers and defibrillators.
Why did you choose to work at Stormont Vail Health?
I’m originally from Denver. I went to school in Nebraska, where my my wife is from. After we traveled to Texas for training, we wanted to get closer to family. We looked at different cities, and we more or less stumbled into Topeka. When we came and saw what Stormont had to offer, we said, ‘This is the type of community we want to raise our family in.’ The type of physicians and the entire atmosphere here at Stormont…I said, ‘This is where I want to work.’
How would your friends or spouse describe you?
If I had to ask my friends or my spouse to describe me, I suppose they would probably describe me as hardworking, someone with integrity, and a strong spiritual belief.
