Residency Experience
Residents in the Stormont Vail PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program engage in a combination of block and longitudinal rotations. Elective block rotations are customized to align with each resident’s clinical interests, with intentional scheduling to ensure meaningful exposure to these areas prior to the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting.
In addition, residents may choose to pursue either a teaching certificate or an ASHP/APhA-approved equivalent, allowing for professional development tailored to individual career goals.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- PharmD from an ACPE-accredited school
- Employment eligibility before start date
- Kansas Pharmacy Intern license before start date
- Kansas Pharmacy license within 120 days of start

Staffing Commitments
Residents begin staffing in Quarter 2 (week 13) and complete:
- 14 weekends (approximately every third weekend)
- 1 holiday shift
- Orientation and licensure by the end of Quarter 1
Residents receive compensation days and scheduled breaks.
