Dialogue Coffee House to Open New Location at Stormont Vail Health Administrative Center

Stormont Vail Health, Capper Foundation, and Dialogue Coffee House recently unveiled their plans to bring a new Dialogue location to the Stormont Vail Administrative Center located at 400 SW 8th St.

Set to open in April 2025, the new location will be Dialogue’s fifth coffee house in Topeka and will reinforce both organizations commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and the empowerment of all individuals in the community, regardless of ability.

“We are excited to open the new Dialogue Coffee House location at our new Administrative Center,” said Page Bachman, Senior Vice President and Chief Experience Officer at Stormont Vail. “We feel there is strong alignment between the missions of Dialogue Coffee, Capper Foundation, and Stormont Vail, and we’re proud to partner with an organization that is dedicated to supporting and uplifting every individual in our community.”

Founded in 2019, and officially partnering with Capper Foundation in April 2023, Dialogue has continued to support the employment and advancement of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities providing safe spaces for community members to feel valued, enjoy independence, and access valuable career training.

“In partnership with Stormont Vail Health, we’re creating a unique place for meaningful dialogue that prioritizes people of all abilities, fosters healthy communities, and paves the way for a bright future. Dialogue Coffee House, located at the Stormont Vail Administrative Center, embodies Capper Foundation’s vision of expanding career opportunities for Kansans of all abilities while cultivating essential life skills focusing on talents rather than differences,” said President and CEO of Capper Foundation Zach Ahrens. “This collaboration exemplifies the lasting dedication of Stormont Vail Health and Capper Foundation to build an inclusive community where everyone, regardless of ability, can achieve greater independence and thrive.”

The expansion allows additional individuals living with disabilities to learn life skills, earn a paycheck, and find purpose in their work so they can be contributing members of our society. The location at the Stormont Vail Administrative Center will be not open to the public.
