Welcome to Building Blocks

We provide early education through  planned recreational learning and social activities suitable for your child's age, from six weeks to school age.  As you care for others, know that we are here for you.  The centers will remain open during inclement weather & other such unplanned events, so you can continue to provide top quality care to our communities without the additional stress of finding alternate childcare arrangements.

Owned by Stormont Vail Health, Building Blocks is an exclusive childcare service offered only to Full-Time Stormont Vail Team Members.

Building Blocks welcomes all military families that are associated with Child Care Aware of Kansas and the United States Department of Agriculture. We are licensed through Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and are enrolled as a Department of Children and Families (DCF) designated provider.

What We Offer

  • Social & Fun

    We provide a social setting for all ages! Throughout the week they participate in fun themed activities that focus on important developmental skills.

  • Caring Staff

    Our caring staff is dedicated to helping your child grow. They help facilitate and oversee age-appropriate learning and socialization to ensure children learn basic skills and concepts, all while developing personal relationships with each child.

  • Safe Environment

    Building Blocks is a secure building with a locked entrance. Photo identification is required for pick-up of children by anyone other than a guardian.

  • Daily Meals

    Building Blocks participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), including infants. We serve breakfast, lunch and  afternoon snack each day.

TUITION RATES

To qualify for the Building Blocks full-time team member tuition rate, the team member must be classified as a .9 FTE (maintain 36 work hours or more per week).

ADMISSIONS

Currently, Building Blocks does not offer part-time care.  All children rates are based on full-time care.

All admissions are considered. Once enrolled, children are placed into classrooms according to available space and date of birth. An entrance meeting and other appropriate paperwork must be completed before care.

INFANTS

6 weeks - 18 months

Hours of Operation: The centers are open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday and closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving Day and the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
