Volunteer Services

Stormont Vail Health Volunteer Services

At Stormont Vail Health, you can make a difference in the lives of others as a volunteer. Our volunteers are a vital part of our organization, serving a special role in the day-to-day operations of our health care organization. They provide valuable time and services to assist the professional staff.

About Volunteer Services?

Volunteer Services oversees and schedules the volunteers throughout Stormont Vail Health, while also providing them with training and education. We work with Stormont Vail Health to develop volunteer programs that best support the organization’s mission and the changing needs of patients and the community.

We provide volunteers with the opportunity to acquire new skills and knowledge, develop new interests, expand their social and personal support networks and derive satisfaction from assisting others through compassion and understanding.

What Is a Volunteer?

A volunteer at Stormont Vail Health is someone who is committed to making a difference in the lives of others and contributing to your community. Our volunteers assist health care team members, releasing them to perform essential duties that only they can perform. Volunteers give a greater personal dimension to the delivery of health care by serving as ambassadors and liaisons between Stormont Vail Health and the community.

  • Genuine interest in being of service to others
  • Complete the application process and participate in a free health assessment and mandatory orientation/training sessions, as required.
  • If under age 18, must have permission from a parent or guardian to participate.
  • Volunteers purchase their own uniforms ($20 or $30 depending on the style they choose).
