Adult Behavioral Health Programs

Life with an emotional, mental or behavioral disorder can feel like a roller coaster. You may have good days and bad days, and it can feel like a real challenge sometimes to control your thoughts or emotions. Our adult behavioral health programs are designed to help you cope with various forms of mental health challenges.

Adult Inpatient Program

The Stormont Vail Behavioral Health Adult Inpatient Program focuses on acute, short-term crisis stabilization for voluntary individuals experiencing a psychiatric emergency. The program includes individualized treatment planning with a multi-disciplinary approach, discharge planning and continuity of care with community providers.

Treatment Structure

Patients will receive individual, group and family interventions as outlined by their individualized treatment plan. During treatment, patients are provided with a thorough psychiatric assessment, medication management, therapeutic interventions and discharge planning services to set them on a course of outpatient services.

Our behavioral health team consists of psychiatrists, social workers, activity therapists and nursing staff who will work with you to assist in learning new coping strategies and enhanced life skills.

Family Participation

The behavioral health care team at Stormont Vail treats the whole person and recognizes the relationship between patients and their families, friends, peers and the community are intrinsic components to healthy living.
