New MyChart Bedside ED and Bedside Requests Now Live

As part of our continued focus on Experience and Growth, MyChart Bedside is now available to adult inpatient and emergency department patients at our Topeka hospital. Through the MyChart mobile app, patients can stay informed about their care—viewing updates, test results, and care team information using their own device.

Bedside Requests are also live. This is a feature that allows patients and authorized proxies to submit simple, non‑urgent service requests digitally instead of using the call light. Requests are routed directly to the appropriate support teams, helping streamline workflows while keeping clinical staff focused on patient care. Together, MyChart Bedside and features like Bedside Requests enhance communication, support teamwork, and bring our mission to life at the bedside.

Cindy Hornberger Elected to AHA Regional Policy Board

Cindy Hornberger, PhD, APRN-CNS, chair of the Stormont Vail Health board, has been elected as a regional trustee delegate to the American Hospital Association’s Regional Policy Board 6. Dr. Hornberger’s term will run through Dec. 31, 2028. The AHA regional board convenes three times a year to discuss policy issues and make recommendations, which are then utilized by the AHA board during policy deliberations.

Article Correction: Adult Intensive Outpatient Program

In last week’s issue of SVnews, we shared the wrong phone number to call for more information on our Adult Intensive Outpatient Program. As with any behavioral health service needs, there is now one number to call; 785-270-4600. We apologize for the error.
