Walk with an APP (Topeka): May 16, 2026

Join Leslie Arnold, certified nurse-midwife (CNM), for a casual, one-mile walk focused on postpartum depression, emotional health, and when to find support.

Please help spread the word to friends and family who are pregnant, recently gave birth, thinking about pregnancy, or have experienced postpartum depression.

This event can be especially meaningful for those who may feel hesitant or unsure about bringing up these topics.

Emporia Team Serves Up Care Beyond the Clinic

Beth Weimer and Alicia Criger from our Emporia Clinic recently stepped into the community to provide blood pressure screenings and health support at the United Way of the Flint Hills Pathways to Hope Community Resource Fair on April 25.

The event served more than 200 adults and children, highlighting the impact of meeting our community where they are.

Thank you, Beth and Alicia, for caring for Emporia inside and outside the clinic!

Recognizing a Community Partner Supporting Kansas Kids

Recently, the team at Walmart Supercenter (Store #341) in Marysville raised $5,924 for Stormont Vail Health, a Children’s Miracle Network hospital, helping support vital pediatric programs and life‑saving equipment.

We’re grateful for their generosity and continuous commitment to helping kids and families in our communities.

New Mattresses Offer Higher Reliability for Rest

Having a comfortable hospital bed has more benefits than you might think. It can improve rest and recovery, prevent complications, and improve a patient’s morale.

Thanks to the efforts of our Stormont Vail Health nursing staff and others, we recently purchased new mattresses for patient beds for our hospitals in Topeka and Junction City (Flint Hills Campus).

In Topeka, 250 new mattresses will be utilized in the medical specialty areas. There are also plans to order 40 additional mattresses in the coming fiscal year so all medical specialty  beds are equipped with new mattresses.

At Flint Hills, three new mattresses have been ordered for Labor and Delivery areas and 10 new mattresses for the medical specialty area. Thank you to all team members who were a part of this initiative to provide a restful stay for our patients.
