Stormont Vail Health proudly welcomes Dr. Leah Kemble, OB/GYN, to our team at Stormont Vail OB/GYN – Lincoln Center, 800 SW Lincoln St. in Topeka. Dr. Kemble brings a passion for lifelong women’s healthcare and a deep commitment to listening, understanding, and partnering with her patients.

“I wanted to become an OB/GYN to help care for people throughout their lives,” Dr. Kemble shared. “This area of medicine is so important, yet often undervalued. I want to be someone who listens—who helps patients feel heard and supported.”

Dr. Kemble’s journey into OB/GYN medicine was shaped by a powerful experience during her undergraduate studies, when she spent a month in Ghana working alongside midwives.

“They provided incredible care with limited resources. That experience inspired me to bring that same dedication and mindset back to the U.S.,” she said.

What Dr. Kemble finds most rewarding is being present for life’s biggest moments—both joyful and challenging. “Welcoming a new baby is an incredible privilege,” she says. “And in gynecology, where topics can feel taboo, I want to create a safe space where patients can express their concerns and feel empowered to improve their health.”

She believes in building strong partnerships with her patients. “It’s not my job to tell you what to do—it’s my job to offer guidance and support your goals,” she explains.
