Brandie McBride, medical assistant with Stormont Vail Health Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, earned the Sunflower Award after a patient recognized her years of support, guidance, and dedication throughout their orthopedic journey.

From helping patients prepare for surgery to answering the call when unexpected challenges arose, Brandie became a trusted source of support throughout their care.

Brandie’s Nomination

Brandie has been such an overall great MA through my orthopedic journey. She guided me through the pre-surgery information before Nurse Navigator positions were implemented and gave me her direct phone number during the process.

She has supported me through both of my knee replacements over the last five years, as well as my husband’s knee replacement this year and his shoulder issues.

She is very knowledgeable, professional, and has gone above and beyond to meet our needs. I know how busy she and the rest of the staff are and understand all that she deals with on a daily basis. She helps us understand evaluations and treatments and always makes us feel welcome and special.

Several months ago, I dislocated my reverse shoulder, which was very traumatic. I reached out to Brandie, and she immediately worked me in to see Dr. Deister so I could receive care and treatment for this issue.

Being a retired RN myself, I understand the importance of excellent patient care, personalized attention, and everything else she does. I am certain that she treats all of her patients no differently than she does us.
