We Celebrate Maggie Scheck, DAISY Award Winner

Congratulations to Maggie, an RN in our Transitional Care Unit, for her DAISY Award! She received a nomination from a patient who praised Maggie’s emotional intelligence and ability to connect with those in her care.

“Maggie embodies the spirit of the DAISY Award. Her selflessness, clinical expertise, and profound kindness make her an outstanding nurse who deserves this recognition. I am deeply grateful for her care, and I know many others share this sentiment.”

Rob and Tammy Kenagy Health Equity Fund to Address Health Outcome Disparities

Health outcomes for many common conditions, including pregnancy and infancy, can vary significantly. These differences in outcome are often influenced by factors such as healthcare access, nutrition, and environmental conditions.  As Dr. Robert Kenagy concludes nine years of service at Stormont Vail Health, the Stormont Vail Foundation invites you to recognize his contributions and support Stormont Vail’s efforts to address the root causes of health outcome disparities by contributing to the Rob and Tammy Kenagy Health Equity Fund. To donate and support equitable health access for all, visit the Stormont Vail Foundation

Take Charge of Your Health on National Healthcare Decision Day

By documenting your healthcare preferences, you can ensure that loved ones and healthcare providers know your choices regarding treatment, care, and end-of-life decisions. Join us on Wednesday, April 16,  from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka to learn more about advance directives. A table will be set up near Registration on the first floor. We’ll have advance directives paperwork and several notaries available for those interested in completing the process.

We together,
Dr. Kenagy
