Stormont Vail Health’s March Walk with a Doc – Dr. Robert Ricci

Stormont Vail Health invites the Topeka community to its monthly Walk with a Doc program, which promotes health and wellness through casual outdoor exercise. The event will be 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, March 15, at the east side of Lee Arena, Washburn University.

Colorectal cancer is the second deadliest cancer in the United States, but it is highly preventable with screenings and highly treatable when caught early. Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month is the right time to learn about risk factors for colorectal cancer, when you should get a colonoscopy and more from an expert. Join Dr. Robert Ricci, a gastroenterologist at the Stormont Vail Digestive Health Center, as he answers your questions during this month’s Walk with a Doc.

The walk is free and open to everyone, no registration needed. Wear comfortable shoes, and bring your water bottle to stay hydrated! If the weather is too cold or rainy, we will move the walk inside Lee Arena.

Topeka Volunteer Event is March 29

Stormont Vail Health is excited to partner with Omni Circle for the Central Park Community Clean-Up Day on Saturday, March 29. This event directly addresses the neighborhood safety priority identified in our recent Community Health Needs Assessment – fostering a cleaner and safer environment for neighbors to engage with each other. This project will refresh and maintain a local playground, ensuring a safe and enjoyable space for children. This is a great opportunity to engage in meaningful community service while fostering teamwork outside of the office.

We together,
Dr. Kenagy
