“To Your Health” on WIBW-TV Tonight: Dr. Mark McHaney

Dr. Mark McHaney, Manhattan Campus primary care physician, will share information about protecting your eyes as summer activities begin with pools opening and lake trips in the plans. The segment will air on tonight’s WIBW “To Your Health” at 10 p.m. on WIBW-TV, Channel 13. The segment will typically repeat at 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. Fridays on 13 News This Morning and be posted on wibw.com.

Clinical Research Center Screening for New Trial

The Cotton O’Neil Clinical Research Center is currently screening for a new trial for patients with high levels of Lipoprotein(a). This study is testing if an investigational medicine safely lowers Lp(a) levels and reduces the risk of heart disease, stroke, or peripheral artery disease.

Lp(a) is a protein that carries cholesterol in the blood. If you have a high level of Lp(a), you may have an increased risk for heart disease, stroke, or peripheral artery disease. You may have a high level of Lp(a) even if you have a healthy lifestyle or are taking other medicine for your cholesterol.

If you, or someone you know has cardiac risk factors and would like to be tested to see if they are eligible for the trial, please contact Dr. Michael Cox or Tina Mosher at the Cotton O’Neil Clinical Research Center 785-368-0742 or providers may send referrals to the research center in Epic. Patients may also self-refer by visiting our webpage. Clinical Research Self-Referral – Stormont Vail Health

We together,
Dr. Kenagy
