Our International Board-Certified Lactation Consultants® (IBCLCs), nurses, and support staff build on what you learn in prenatal class by providing hands-on support after delivery and unlimited follow up care after you leave The Birthplace.
High 5 for Mom & Baby
Stormont Vail is a High 5 for Mom & Baby Premier facility, recognized for following evidence-based practices that improve outcomes for parents and babies, including:
- 24-hour rooming-in
- Immediate and sustained skin-to-skin contact after birth
- Exclusive breastmilk feeding unless medically indicated
- Avoiding pacifiers/artificial nipples for breastfeeding infants
- Providing families with community breastfeeding support resources
