Stormont Vail Health Earns 4-Star Rating from CMS for Hospital Quality
Stormont Vail Health is proud to announce it has received a 4-Star Hospital rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) 2025 Overall Hospital Quality Star Ratings. This recognition reflects Stormont Vail’s continued commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, and compassionate care to the communities it serves.
The CMS star ratings evaluate hospitals nationwide based on performance across five key categories: Mortality, Safety of Care, Readmission, Patient Experience, and Timely and Effective Care. Stormont Vail’s 4-star rating places it among the top-performing hospitals in Kansas and across the country, with only 26.5% of hospitals nationwide earning four stars in 2025.
“Receiving a 4-star rating from CMS is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our entire team,” said Mark Slyter, President and Chief Executive Officer at Stormont Vail. “We’re proud of this recognition, but even more committed to continuing our journey toward excellence. Every patient, every experience, and every outcome matters and we’ll keep pushing forward to raise the bar for healthcare in our region.”
