We Celebrate Hannah Reynolds, DAISY Award Winner

Extraordinary nurses leave lasting imprints on patients’ and families’ lives every day. Hannah Reynolds, Acute Care RN at the Stormont Vail Health Flint Hills Campus, embodies this through her integrity and compassion. Her DAISY nomination highlights how she honored a family’s care requests and provided clear communication and exceptional care. We’re proud to celebrate her with the DAISY Award!

Hannah’s DAISY Nomination

“Nursing is an occupation and compassion.” – Florence Nightingale

“She [Hannah] has been the living example of the nursing pledge. She elevates the nursing profession with sincere concern and care. My mother experienced her second total hip replacement this month. She arrived on the Med Surg unit in the afternoon. This nurse was professional and never displayed an offensive attitude. Even though, I insisted every person perform hand hygiene when entering my mother’s room.

“She was collaborative and listened to my guidance concerning my mother’s care. She was attentive to my mother’s needs and she always asked if there was anything she could do before she left the room. She explained every procedure before it happened and explained every medication. Finally, she is a living example of what the nursing profession is meant to display: Nursing is empathetic, nursing is compassion, nursing is caring, nursing is critical thinking, nursing is integrity, and she is nursing.”
