Stormont Vail Health Celebrates New Outpatient Behavioral Health Center with Ribbon Cutting, Open House

Stormont Vail Health recently hosted an open house and ribbon cutting celebrating the opening of the Stormont Vail Outpatient Behavioral Health Center. The center, located at 2601 S.W. 3rd St., serves children and adults navigating a wide range of behavioral health needs.

The open house provided community members, partners, and stakeholders an opportunity to tour the facility, meet members of the behavioral health care team, and learn more about the comprehensive outpatient services available in a welcoming, supportive environment.

“Our goal is to help patients of all ages build resilience, develop healthy coping strategies, and thrive,” said Brad Chapin, Director of Clinical Services at Stormont Vail. “This new outpatient facility ensures continuity of care and a smooth transition from inpatient services or community referrals, while keeping patients connected to the resources they need close to home.”

Designed to meet the growing demand for behavioral health services across the region, the Stormont Vail Outpatient Behavioral Health Center offers individualized treatment plans, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapeutic interventions. Care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, advanced practice providers, nurses, social workers, and therapists.

Stormont Vail Behavioral Health serves patients throughout 68 counties and counting in Kansas and includes 38 behavioral health providers. During fiscal year 2025, the team provided 43,835 behavioral health visits, supporting 8,835 individuals, including more than 20,000 telehealth sessions.
