About the Event

Derby Day in the Flint Hills is more than a celebration—it’s a way to strengthen heart health across our region. While guests enjoy race-day excitement, their support helps meet the growing need for cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation close to home.

Each year, hundreds of thousands of Americans are diagnosed with heart disease, and many local patients depend on care at Stormont Vail Health Flint Hills Campus in Junction City, which recorded nearly 5,500 rehab visits last year. Derby Day sponsorships fund new equipment for a Cardio and Pulmonary Rehab Center, expanding Phase 2 services and launching Phase 3 Cardiac Rehab—ensuring more patients can recover with advanced, life-saving care nearby.
