Stormont Vail Health Stroke Teams Earn National Recognition for Outstanding Patient Care

When someone has a stroke, every minute without treatment can affect recovery. That’s why Stormont Vail Health is proud to share that its Topeka and Flint Hills campuses have earned recognition from the American Heart Association for helping patients receive timely, evidence-based stroke care close to home.

At its Topeka Campus, Stormont Vail earned the Get With The Guidelines® Stroke Gold Plus Achievement Award, Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Award, and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll.

Stormont Vail’s Flint Hills Campus team received the Get With The Guidelines® Rural Stroke Silver and Stroke Silver Plus Achievement Awards, along with Target: Stroke Honor Roll Award and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll.

While the awards recognize clinical excellence, they represent something more important: better outcomes for patients and families across northeast Kansas and the Flint Hills region.
