Walk with a Provider Highlights Importance of Spanish-Speaking Healthcare Providers

Community members are invited to take a step toward better health at an upcoming Walk with a Provider featuring Elizabeth Rincon, LMSW, from 9–10 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Washburn University Lee Arena, 1901 S.W. Mulvane St.

During the one-mile walk, she will discuss the importance of Spanish-speaking healthcare providers in our community and how clear communication can help patients feel more comfortable, informed, and supported when seeking care.

Whether participants are just beginning their wellness journey or looking for new ways to stay active, the event offers an approachable, family-friendly opportunity to connect movement with health education. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes, bring water, and come with questions.
