Stormont Vail Health Walk with an APP to Focus on Sleep Apnea and Sleep Health

Stormont Vail Health invites community members to attend its October Walk with an APP featuring Angie Brockmann, APRN, pulmonology specialist. The free event will take place from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Washburn University Lee Arena, 1901 S.W. Mulvane St., Topeka.

During the event, Brockmann will discuss obstructive sleep apnea, including common symptoms, risk factors, and available treatment options. Participants will also have an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the importance of sleep for overall health and well-being.

“Many people don’t realize that poor sleep can affect nearly every aspect of their health,” said Brockmann. “This walk is a chance to learn more about obstructive sleep apnea, recognize the signs, and explore options that can improve sleep and quality of life.”

The October event may be especially valuable for people who experience excessive daytime sleepiness, snoring, interrupted sleep, or other symptoms associated with sleep apnea, as well as anyone interested in improving their sleep health.
