Dr. Jenica Harwood Joins Stormont Vail Health Express Care

Stormont Vail Health welcomes Jenica Harwood, M.D., a board-certified family medicine physician, to our Express Care team. Her comprehensive background in primary care, emergency medicine, and urgent care allows her to treat a wide range of conditions at our Express Care locations in Topeka.

Dr. Harwood pursued her interest in medicine as a youth volunteer at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. As a high school athlete, she eagerly observed athletic trainers addressing on-field injuries. This experience opened her eyes to healthcare’s impact on well-being and her passion for serving the underserved.

“Everyone deserves quality healthcare, regardless of their background,” Dr. Harwood said.

After earning her medical degree from The University of Kansas School of Medicine, Dr. Harwood gained experience across the healthcare spectrum, allowing her to effectively help patients with concerns ranging from fractures to strep throat to routine check-ups.

“I’m here to help provide knowledge, understanding, and advice on how to best meet patients’ needs and goals. I want them to feel comfortable sharing whatever they want to or need to with me right away.”

Dr. Harwood offers patients an approachable, familiar provider who encourages them to participate actively in their health.
