Healthcare Decisions Day 2024 Photo Share

Without an advanced directive, healthcare teams often turn to patients’ loved ones to make decisions on their behalf. Of course, making these difficult choices is challenging, but they are avoidable with advance care planning.

To raise awareness about the importance of planning ahead, we partnered with Midland Care to celebrate National Healthcare Decisions Day on April 16 at the Topeka Hospital. It was a great chance to share education and assistance about advance directives with anyone who stopped to chat. Thank you to @Midland Care for helping make this year’s celebration a success!
