Stormont Vail Health Unveils First Look at Future Emporia Clinic

Stormont Vail Health shared an exciting glimpse into the future of healthcare in Emporia during a small celebration with team members. A sign featuring a rendering of the future clinic was unveiled on the property where the facility will be built.
The new building will be located at 18th and Road G and is scheduled to break ground in the spring of 2026. The official opening of the clinic is anticipated in 2028.
“It’s not just about a sign, it’s about honoring the journey that brought us here and the future we’re building in Emporia,” said Mary Martell, Vice President of Strategy and Regional Development. “We’re proud to show our team and community what’s to come and are excited to bring expanded access to high-quality care and services to the area.”

The Emporia Clinic will include the newest technology available, state-of-the-art virtual/telemedicine equipment, upgraded consultation rooms, comfortable waiting areas, and an enhanced wayfinding experience so patients and families can easily get to their appointments.
“After three decades of serving Emporia, we are creating a permanent presence. We’re not just building a clinic – we’re building a healthier community one patient visit at a time,” said Dr. Scott Smiley. “This new campus is not only an investment in our patients, but an investment in our team and the future of Emporia as a whole.”
As construction plans continue to take shape, Stormont Vail remains committed and engaged in continuing to provide high-quality services to the community.
