Stormont Vail Health Walk with a Doc Focused on Colon Cancer Prevention and Screening
Colon cancer is one of the most preventable cancers when detected early through routine screening. To help community members learn more about reducing their risk and the importance of early detection, Stormont Vail Health will host its next Walk with a Doc featuring Daniel Regier, M.D., from 9 to 10 a.m., Saturday, August 8, at Simpler Stadium, 900 N. Eisenhower Drive, Junction City, 66441.
During this free, one-mile walk, Dr. Regier will discuss colon cancer prevention, current screening recommendations, and how colonoscopies can help detect issues before cancer develops.
This walk is an opportunity for anyone approaching screening age, with a family history of colon cancer, or interested in learning more about colorectal health to ask questions, get moving, and gain practical information that could help protect their long-term health.
This event is open to all ages and activity levels. Wear comfortable shoes, bring water, and come with questions.
